What is SAP archiving?
Archiving is the process of moving the less frequently used data, or the end of life records, out of the main SAP database into a CMS - Content Management System.
The most common CMS in the SAP world are:
- Open Text - ECM Suite for SAP (formerly IXOS)
- EMC - Content Management and Archiving for SAP
- IBM - Content Collector for SAP (formerly CommonStore)
